ASOME

One of our goals is to fight against all forms of abuse, to improve the protection of children not only but to promote a climate of well-treatment knowing that violence against children is destructive.

Often victims of violence are children with disabilities, child labourers, child beggars, children removed from school, and child victims of rape.

Trafficking in children is also illegal. It is extremely harmful because children who are victims of it face physical abuse and sexual and other exploitation.

It is difficult to obtain precise data on child trafficking because it is a criminal activity.

As an NGO, we are doing everything we can to fight and act preventively against trafficking in children in our country and in the world and thus change the course of things.

ASOME works on the resilience capacity of vulnerable children, supports the psychological and physical reconstruction of child victims of abuse and helps them to implement a new life project. Sometimes cases of abuse go to trial and allow child victims to receive legal support.

Situation of violence and children’s abuse

  • Children’s begging

To eradicate this scourge of child begging, the solutions will be endogenous and will require the pooling of initiatives involving all stakeholders: State, religious authorities, families, civil society, NGOs, etc. Some such as those mentioned below may address the whole problem.

The revitalization of rural areas to avoid the rural exodus of entire families who find themselves in the city without having the means to live there decently and who can increase the ranks of begging candidates.

There are also all these young boys, coming from these rural areas who are suffering the full brunt of the profound changes in the urban world with the abandonment of subsistence farming and breeding.

– We intend to carry out an inclusive social policy to improve the standard of living of the most vulnerable layers and to put an end to daily survival emergencies.

– Support the Koranic Teachers to find subsidies allowing them to modernize and better structure the Madrassas (Koranic Schools). This would allow the Koranic Students to be decently taken care of and provide them with optimal support in their learning.

– Reproductive health to be promoted and adopted more by poor families who continue to have a high birth rate without having the means to provide for their children.

A child has the right to education, protection and dignity. As soon as he finds himself in the street begging he finds himself deprived of all these rights and is exposed to all kinds of vices.

The place of these children is not in the street, but in reassuring and structuring places to give them an opportunity to forge their destinies. They need and have the right to get the best possible start in life.

By sponsoring a child, our generous donors fight inequalities and barriers to education in a sustainable way. They take part in improving the living conditions of their godchild as well as that of her entire community. Join our godmothers and godfathers and help a child break out of poverty through education.
